My Chiefs are very Supportive in terms of development – Assin South DCE

The District Chief Executive of Assin South District in the central region Hon Derek Owusu Ambrose has showered a word praise on the chiefs in the district for their selfless role towards development. He said, every community in the district with the support of the chiefs have started a developmental project with a communal labour.

Hon.Ambrose made this comments at Assin Ngresi after the Akonfudiman Congress organized by the Acting President of Atendensu Traditional Council Nana Kwantwi Barima ii to raise fund for the completion of their community center.

According to the chief Executive ,a community like Assin Amoabeng has started building a three Units Classroom block, Assin Framoase has build a three unit classroom block which is about 90% complete, they started and the Assembly assisted them with cement and roofing sheet, Assin Asatoase is building their own CHp Compound, Assin Kyinaso is building a six units classroom block and many more, this attitude by the chiefs and their respective community members has carried a huge burden off the shoulders of the district Assembly.

Hon.Ambrose said, the district Assembly common Fund is a peanut which can’t complete even three project within two years if it should be relied upon for development as well as the Internally Generated Fund (IGF).
He therefore commended the chiefs for rekindling the spirit of communal labour and pleaded with them to continue for the betterment of their various communities and Assin as a whole.

He finally stated emphatically that the people of Assin south are very workaholic and deserve to be appreciated.
